Our client is a well-established building services consultancy with a strong pipeline across commercial, residential, education and healthcare projects. They're growing, and they need a senior engineer who can take real ownership rather than just executing someone else's design intent.
What you'll be doing
• Leading mechanical design from concept through to technical design and construction, across RIBA Stages 2–5
• Producing and reviewing heating, ventilation, cooling and public health system designs
• Running your own projects with minimal oversight, while mentoring intermediate and graduate engineers
• Coordinating directly with clients, architects and other consultants at design meetings
• Contributing to bids and fee proposals as your involvement grows
• Keeping designs aligned with Part L, CIBSE guidance and current sustainability targets
What you'll need
• A degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or similar
• 5+ years' UK consultancy experience in building services design
• Working towards or holding Chartered status (CIBSE or IMechE)
• Confident use of design software such as IES, Hevacomp or Revit
• A track record of running projects, not just contributing to them
