Electrical engineers tend to get treated as an afterthought to the mechanical team. Not here. Our client runs electrical design as a genuine discipline in its own right, with its own workload, its own leadership route and its own say in how projects get delivered.
They're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who wants more responsibility without waiting another five years for it. If you're currently doing senior-level work under an intermediate title, or you're senior already and bored of being the safest pair of hands in the office, this is worth a look.
What you'll be doing
• Leading electrical design packages across commercial, residential and mixed-use developments
• Producing power, lighting, small power, fire alarm and containment designs from concept to completion
• Reviewing and sizing distribution boards, cabling and protective devices
• Liaising directly with clients and the wider design team at coordination meetings
• Supporting and reviewing the work of intermediate and graduate engineers
• Keeping designs compliant with BS 7671, Part L and CIBSE guidance
What you'll need
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or similar
• 5+ years' UK consultancy experience in electrical building services design
• Working towards or holding Chartered status (CIBSE or IET)
• Confident use of Amtech, Dialux or Revit
• Experience taking a project from initial concept to site delivery
