Our client, a well-established building services consultancy with a strong pipeline across commercial, education and healthcare projects, is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to strengthen their design team and take on greater ownership of packages as the business continues to grow.
What you'll be doing
• Producing electrical design packages, including power, lighting, small power, fire alarm and containment, across RIBA Stages 2–4
• Sizing and coordinating distribution boards, cabling and protective devices under senior engineer guidance
• Attending client and design team coordination meetings and picking up actions
• Supporting graduate engineers with design queries and checks
• Keeping designs aligned with BS 7671, Part L and CIBSE guidance
What you'll need
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or similar
• 3-5 years' UK consultancy experience in electrical building services design
• Working towards Chartered status (CIBSE or IET)
• Working knowledge of Amtech, Dialux or Revit
• Comfortable taking ownership of smaller packages with senior support close by
