Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Overview:

The Role:

  • Deliver electrical design packages across RIBA Stages 2 to 5

  • Produce calculations, layout drawings, schematics, and specifications

  • Work on lighting, LV distribution, containment, small power, and fire alarm systems

  • Attend meetings, carry out site visits, and support technical delivery from concept to construction

  • Liaise with architects, internal teams, and external consultants

  • Take ownership of technical tasks and begin leading aspects of design coordination

  • Support and help guide junior engineers as your role develops


About You:

  • Minimum 3 years of UK-based electrical building services experience

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Dialux or Relux, and cable sizing software

  • Solid understanding of IET Wiring Regs, CIBSE standards, and UK building regulations

  • Looking to move into a senior-level position within the next 12 to 18 months

  • Clear communicator, confident in technical discussions and meetings

  • Ideally working towards Chartership with CIBSE or IET
