Our client, an award winning Data Centre Design Consultancy in the heart of London delivers full MEP packages across mission-critical and data centre projects for some of the biggest names in the sector. They're after an Associate-level Mechanical Engineer who can take management loads away from the Associate Director who is heavily involved with work-winning for a team that currently sits at 25 heads in their London office alone.
What you'll be doing
• Leading mechanical design for data centre and mission-critical projects, from concept through to commissioning
• Owning cooling strategy, including CRAC/CRAH systems, chilled water and free cooling design
• Managing resilience and redundancy requirements (N+1, 2N) against client Tier requirements
• Acting as the main technical point of contact for clients and contractors on your projects
• Managing junior and intermediate engineers, and reviewing their output
• Supporting bids and fee proposals for new data centre opportunities
What you'll need
• A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• Proven experience designing mechanical systems for data centres or other mission-critical environments
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status (CIBSE or IMechE)
• Confident use of IES, Hevacomp, Revit or equivalent design software
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders under commercial and programme pressure
